I’m a lawyer and I’d hire a lawyer with relevant experience (which I do not have) in your shoes. I’d especially want to know what if anything should be done to make sure my kid passes background checks in the future.

OP, what is the subject matter of the alleged verbal harassment or threats? Were the communications focused on race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, or genetic information? Was there an alleged violation of a school- or employment-based anti-harassment policy? If so, you might need a defense lawyer with some first amendment background.

B/c the victim typically gets a restraining order against the antagonist. Not vice versa.
