I didn't say anything and ate the toast anyways. I tipped $2 but I felt like a cheapskate after. Woman was very polite, probably in her 50s. Probably should leave $3 or make the bill an even $10, right? Or a $5 tip. Why not, right?

$2 is totally fine op not sure where you can get any food around here for $6.

This is the bigger question, where can I get breakfast for $6 ???

How is it page 2 and no one has asked where we can also get eggs and toast at a restaurant for $6? Is it in 1995?

Next time she will give you $5 to turn around and go away before you sit down.

If the restaurant doesn’t want customers that spend $6 then they should stop offering food that costs $6.

$6 is cheap! It costs $6 for one of those crummy frozen microwaved Starbucks eggs sandwiches/wraps.

Yeah, my point was that I would not purchase this breakfast in a restaurant at all. $10 will get you a dozen eggs and a loaf of bread and you can have this breakfast every morning for 2 weeks.

If I'm traveling and don't have access to my own eggs and bread, I'd choose something else.

Everything costs more in a restaurant than at home, because you paying for service and cleaning and real estate.

+1. I would have given $94 because I don’t carry bills smaller than $100. I guess I win. This is a pointless thread.

Are you with a good sized group?
To me that makes a difference.

$5 minimum, but if you’re with a group, you could do less.

If you’re just meeting one friend, probably each of you do $5 (your friend’s choice is up to your friend of course, but you do $5)

I would have tipped 4-5. I always give an extra dollar or two. Maybe that's $300-400 extra by the end of the year? Worth it to me.

$2 is what I would have done too. If you had drinks or something else $3.

I would tip $2 on that for good or bad service.
