UMich is a great school, but is not worth >$70K/year OOS tuition.
My kid attends UVA with $20K/year after receiving a $20K scholarship. She withdrew her application the next day after getting into UVA, mainly due to the $50K difference. Actually, for four years, the difference goes up to $200K.
No college (perhaps, except for Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Princeton, or Yale) justifies $200K.

It's easier to get into than UVA from NoVA and much easier to get into than GU for public NoVa Hs kids.

Which comparable private is worth 70K?
Michigan is now $82K OOS. https://finaid.umich.edu/getting-started/estimating-costs

My son loves UMich. He had never even been there yet. He is a solid student and is a strong athlete but not college recruit type athlete.
