Will this be the new normal? Crime is on the rise in certain parts of the county (Silver Spring and Gaithersburg/Germantown…), but Olney?
I want a zero tolerance crackdown on gangs and trafficking. Zero tolerance: swift prosecution followed by deportation (when status is an issue). Enough already.
Olney is not the issue. They likely are not from Olney, so they went to an out of the way park/woods to do this.
I severed on a Federal Grand Jury for 12 months. We heard lots of MS13 cases, including murders, extortion and robbery. There is not any area that is not affected by gang related crime. You don't bury bodies in your own backyard. The cases crossed state lines (not just DC MD VA) and were handled between many federal agencies.

Its one of those stats that doesn't actually say what you think it says. The problem being that the racial composition of "Native born" and immigrants is completely different. Once you control for race, immigrants are more likely to commit crimes.

It's true. Look at the stats. It's hard when you only pay attention to racist reporting which tries to make it seem like every crime is committed by an immigrant.
A MS-13 gang execution and Olney is not racist reporting.
Not reporting all the other crimes is the racist part of the reporting. If you think the only crimes that happen in Olney are committed by MS-13, well I can't help you.
Besides they went to Olney because they thought they were in the country and nobody would hear them way out there.
But all other crime is reported. I pay attention to the reporting and not just latino crime is reported about. Recently in Olney we have had a murder (black), sexual harassment and rape (white), burglaries (various races), slightly further north a barricade situation (white).

How can anyone be outraged or concerned if they don't know what is going on? I'm sure the MoCo social media is not what most people spend their time looking at. Address your issue with lack on concern/outrage with the MoCo politicians (who happened to create this mess).
