It was a weird rambling list of how he wants policing of our schools and truancy and how he’s going to have a regular Radio Show!! It read like a list from 1952. I couldn’t throw it away fast enough. Do I think the present behavior in schools is acceptable? No. But I don’t want some old Radio Show guy sending our police out to nab the truants and pull kids out of school in handcuffs.
I thought the photo was Lorne Greene on Bonanza.
The drawing in the corner of him on a horse with the saying, "The Sheriff Who Will Fix America" was...interesting.

+1
We'll be voting on voting day. I'll take a close look at this guy. Cursive? Sounds great!
Do tell, how do you think a Sherrif will bring back anything to the schools regarding curriculum? Also, you can always teach your child cursive. You don't have to wait on the schools to do it if it's that important to you.
Criminals end up in jail and sheriff are the experts at keeping jails safe and secure.
Sheriffs will do a great jobs of assisting SROs to keep our children safe as the get educated in Jail.. I meant school.
Of course… as long as sheriffs get some extra funding for this new role.
having an officer do that is unconstitutional. They would be removed from office if they went around doing this. No prosecutor is going to prosecute this crime.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:If a police sees children playing walking or doing whatever wherever during school time, the police should not invoke their authority to intimidate the children.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I am tempted to dig it out of my trash to post it here. You ... don't want that? You want no discouragement for truancy?
Chronic absenteeism is a serious problem and the pandemic has caused it to spike. Kids who are supposed to be in school are supposed to be in school. Having Officer Friendly remind them of that is not a bad thing.
But you knew that.

That pic is the this year.Anonymous wrote:I am tempted to dig it out of my trash to post it here.
