This is one of the things that makes me hesitate to put my non-white kid into Latin. But maybe my hesitation is unwarranted?
Insufferable DC folks who care more about performative nonsense than substance and education. If you want to virtue signal there are any number of failing schools in DC that wrap themselves in afro-centric and other foundations. Sure, less than 10% of the kids in those classes are at grade level, but at least the teacher will be representative while they dodge chairs and classes full of delinquents.
