You can't be this dumb. They are on the way home today it seems. No one brings coolers around for 5 days. It sounds like they visited a unique place where maybe they used to live and she brought him back food from that restaurant. My sister has his husband do this all the time.

That’s odd to not respond for that long with your 3 year old. I’d text and call and leave a VM again saying you are worried and mention by X time you’ll call in for a welfare check. My husband is the worse communicator and I’ve gotten used to it but when he’s with our toddler, he will check-in or respond to me at least once per day.

This is so weird. If you've called several times and he hasn't picked up or called back, that's very weird, and I would be concerned that something happened.

If he is otherwise showing that he and the 3yo are alive and well, then you should chill out. He's already stressed with work, and now he's staying home taking care of a 3yo, too? He's probably hunkered down. 3yos are crazy.

Have fun and concentrate on your time with your child.

This was my guess too. Maybe he's dealing with your 3yo and the behavioral problems that kept you from taking him on the trip.

When my kids were around 3 I barely used my phone when they were awake because I was focusing on them. And sometimes even after they were finally in bed I just collapsed and enjoyed the silence.
