Somewhat. I think if a person cheats on you once, they’ll eventually cheat again. But people can and do change - so a person who cheated in a relationship in their early-mid 20s might not cheat on a new, more serious partner in their 30s.

Not true. I was always a cheater. Well, often a cheater anyway. Then I met the man who is my DH and I haven't cheated in 20 years.

False. I cheated on my then girlfriend when we were in grad school, more than 20 years ago. We ended up marrying a few years later, and I have been completely faithful to her since.

I was pretty young at the time, early 20s, and I think I was just really immature. I grew up and wanted to do better and be a good man. I try every day to be a good husband and dad. I’m not perfect, but I would never cheat again. I learned my lesson and I hate that I hurt this woman I love.

False. I cheated at 19 because I felt trapped in a relationship hurtling toward marriage with a man everyone loved but me. I was immature and didn't understand I had agency and choices.

False but you can’t know which cheater is which. I’d never get into a LTR with somebody who had cheated.
