No, we ate at home and had tons of time to exercise. How people gained weight is beyond me.

I gained a bit early on and lost 40 to 45 pounds between September 2020 and May 2021 (more walking, less junk). I haven't gained any back so far.

Yes. Was scared and sad and sat on the couch watching TV. Gained 20 pounds. Have since lost 40 and look and feel great

Have lost 15 pounds since the beginning of the year (rejoined a gym), but last 10 won’t budge.

Will add I’m in perimenopause, struggle with PMDD and have not found effective meds, moved twice during the pandemic, started a successful Airbnb, and have been the busiest I have ever been at work.

The past week I have been down on myself for not being able to lose the weight but I should keep in mind I gained the 25 pounds between 2020-2022 and I’ve lost 15 in 2023 so far, so that is pretty much even gain and loss (assuming I am able to get the 10 pounds off between now and sometime 2024, right?)

No. I lost 40 pounds. I was too anxious to eat because we had a particularly rough time in my house. Still have not gained it back, still have anxiety even though I'm on drugs now. Still don't eat much but I'm too afraid to get rid of all the clothes I have stored in the basement. I don't think I will ever be the same again. I no longer think the ground under my feet is solid.

COVID15 is a meme for a reason.

I gained 10 pounds from too many margaritas and late night nachos. But then I lost it!

Yes, but not until 2021. The first year I coped by over exercising and then finally couldn’t take it anymore. It doesn’t help that I was 43 when the pandemic started and perimenopause has not been kind. I haven’t gained much - clothes mostly still fit, but have a little weight around my waist, which was always relatively slim. Good times.

I did finally go back to my pre-covid workout routine earlier this year and that seems to be helping some.

The other way - lost a ton of weight. Mostly in 2021 though. I think it went one way or the other for a large segment of the population. I suspect the numbers of people whose weight remained within the normal fluctuations statistically during that time was lower. My guess at least.

Partly just continuing a gradual upward trend from the last 10 years. Partly too much snacking, too much wine, too much homemade bread, too much stress, not enough exercise (no time! I've seriously never been busier than I was summer 2020).

I stabilized there for a couple of years, working on getting it off now.

This. I was on an upward trend, covid got me walking more but also super stressed juggling work and childcare. DH and I realized early on we were drinking too much wine so we stopped that ... and turned to baking. Then more work stress.

I hit a "wake up weight" and am losing weight with a doctor and meds, so technically I'm a little lighter now than in 2020.
