I think it’s fine as long as you don’t use them together. Most people don’t use First Middle for anything so it should be okay

Helena and James are very sweet. I don't love James Claude, but no one will call him that. These days, many, many boys named James are only ever called that. Nicknames are kind of out for boys ... lots of little Jameses, Williams, Matthews, Andrews, etc.

Exactly. As a person who speaks French that's exactly want my brain wants to say. Do you intend to use the middle name? I will tell you that there are zero James in either of my children's classes and that there have not been for years.

I love the name James, so I'd accept. But I understand you don't, and I agree with this PP.

Unless naming your DD was very lopsided in your favor, I'd push back on a first name that you both like, and he can use one of these honor names in the middle.

A name ending in a consonant blend shouldn't be followed by a name starting with a consonant blend.

I think James is a nice name. I wish I liked it a little bit more strongly, but the truth is that there aren’t really any boys names I am managing to feel strongly about! It was a lot easier with our daughter (Helena).
