NP here. I have been on ozempic 2mg for 6 months now and haven't been able to get it filled for 3 weeks! Don't know what to do at this point. I have never had the pharmacy (Walgreens) be so unhelpful. Can't give me any idea of date it will be restocked, or if/when they will get it, or where i might be able to get it. UGH

Me too, I’m type 1.5 (for the harpies who will tell me I’m diabetic because I’m fat) and can’t find 2mg anywhere in LA. It’s so damn annoying. I’m switching to mounjaro, because that seems a bit harder for non-diabetic people to get.

The same pharmacy that promised supplies 10/26 still doesn't have it.

My endocrinologist is giving me sample boxes now.

Same here. It’s so annoying, plus I’m in LA with all the non-diabetic anorexics buying up all the supplies. For months people on DCUM have been saying there’s no shortage blah blah blah there’s other medications for diabetics blah blah blah but only diabetics know what works for them and what doesn’t!! I don’t even lose weight with ozempic but it controls my a1c perfectly, unlike every other diabetes medication. If you’re one of the soccer moms buying up all the ozempic, I think it’s shameful.

Well, since many of the people on the DCUM board are from the DMV area, I imagine that's why there's a disconnect between what you're seeing in LA and what we're seeing in the DMV.

I’ve been on Oz for over a year. Was supposed to start a new pen (2mg) last Tuesday. I’ve never had an issue getting it until now. I use CVS here in DC.

Unless the soccer mom is a diabetic with a prescription for ozempic, she isn't buying it all up.

DP - Because they both have the same active ingredient and Ozempic ~ $500/month cheaper if you are paying out of pocket.

Yeah and the only reason you’re paying out of pocket is because you’re a non diabetic buying up all the diabetes medications.

It’s not. I’ve been trying to get mine filled for 2 weeks now with no luck.

I just got the 1.7 dose Wegovy filled in one day with no problems.

Not in my experience. You have to have a certain BMI (caused by more than a few vanity pounds) and in my case for insurance, a co morbidity factor (high cholesterol for me).
