the weather was cruddy for us today but otherwise everything is fine at WAGS. It is a little annoying to play the same teams we always play but at least it is local.

Bethesda is the best team in 10G division.
Better than the other two teams that actually made the final?
Yes.
If that was the case, wouldn’t Bethesda made it to the final too?
Bethesda, Ukrainian nationals, VDA, BRAVE were a group. The other side was not nearly as strong.
Typical poor loser Bethesda parent. FC Delco was on the other side who is currently #1 in North Atlantic ECNL AND ranked higher than Bethesda on the App they hate so much.
Bethesda lost to a GA team. That GA team won the bracket and then lost to another GA team who I dare not mention in the final. The GA team that won WAGS had to beat the top North Atlantic ECNL team who is ranked #13 in the country in order to win their own bracket.
Bethesda parents come here and complain about being “ranked too low” in Youth Soccer App because they were ECNL Semi-finalist. Well, you got your answer this weekend.
Didn’t bethesda also lose to a GA team in a tournament in May? Maybe the ECNL semi final was the outlier for them and this is more the norm. Must have been some lucky breaks/calls in their favor/sick opposing player. Or do those things only matter when bethesda loses?

It is worse at ulittle when there are no linesmen, but I’m always amazed at parents who set up right on the sideline. Saw uLittle Alexandria parents today with their chairs on the sideline and their feet literally on the field. Tournaments, refs, and teams need to do better on this.

09s were there, lost to Arlington.
