We're finally getting a king bed and my solution is to get two separate twin XL comforters - a warm, heavy one for me, and a very light one for him. Has anyone tried this? Does this work? My master plan is to lay a king-sized quilt or coverlet on top of the entire bed for a more seamless look. Thoughts?
We use a quilt/coverlet year round with a down comforter underneath in the winter and it works well. DH almost never uses the comforter but I do. He’s happy to push it to the side. We actually joke about him making a wall every night between us where he folds over the sheet, comforter then quilt and uses each one as needed.
