Senior Skip Day is FAR from random. All you have to do is listen to them talk. It's no secret when the day is, and it's planned at least a week in advance. If the a-hole teacher can't adjust her plans, that's on her and it makes her a crappy teacher. Does her world fall apart when there's a snow day?

Why? As the PP said the risk is the unexcused absence and what potentially from it. By the time you are a senior you should be able to weigh the risk and trade offs.

And that why parents suck! They are ruining teachers. Then the kid fails a test or quiz because they lost a day of instruction. Complain there is no retake or complain they got a B. Then ask the teacher to make extra credit project so their loser kid can boost their grade.
But in fairness, I think senior skip day is much later like in the Spring. Is it happening now, this quarter in the Fall?
