I just never get sick of his name. It sounds silly to me and I get a fit of the giggles. I picture a four-year old playing school. “Bad Bunny! Sit down!”

I'm an old square and even I get Bad Bunny. First of all, he's very funny -- he has a silly, sometimes witty sense of humor both in his music and in interviews (and on SNL when he hosted). His music is easy to dance to and makes people happy. He seems to have a good approach to life and people see that and want to be part of it.

I don't understand what there is to get.

That said, sometimes it's rough (gravely) because he's not singing, he's doing some kind of mix between speaking and singing, closer to speaking. Not rap. Maybe a vocal simulation of Spanglish.

You realize there are all kinds of music to satisfy all musical tastes, not just yours. You should embrace diversity in music, in all art forms, honestly. Imagine how boring it would be if all art including music, television, theater, music, etc. only appealed to your tastes. And no, I'm not a bad bunny fan; I think his music is stupid. But good for his fans; we all deserve to have, what we consider, great music to enjoy.

Well, my early 20s daughter thinks he's hot so I would imagine that is at least some of his appeal.

Eh-I’m a native Spanish speaker, and like a few of his songs, but I think his reputation as “progressive” is massively overstated. He still portrays women as objects in his songs, and reduces them to their body parts, which is par for the course in reggaeton, but there’s nothing progressive about it.

Dp. I do not speak Spanish, but I love reggaeton. I; however, cannot stand Bad Bunny. His songs sound whiney and loserish. J Balvin, Farruko, et al are more enjoyable to listen to.
