I was not expecting this, anything we can do? The pitchers really suck at this age. (Elementary)

Softball parent here: it was likely intentional. My DD pitches for a C level travel team, and she was taught by her pitching coach to start brushing batters back at the U10 level. Just tell your DD to charge the mound next time it happens and the pitcher will back off.

I love you.

Tell her not rub as she runs to first base - that's the sign of a sissy.

I've lost count of how many times my daughter has been nailed by pitches over the years. She wears the bruises with pride. Especially the ones were you can see the ball's stitching.

Now when you get to high school, those girls throw hard, so you may want to reconsider softball if this a problem for your daughter.

Probably best to just do that for life in general.

OP’s daughter wants to know if they accept green light or Venmo.

This was at the elementary level - 100% it is lack of control by the pitcher, which is normal for the age

I hate to say this is why so many kids are whiny and annoying, but good lord. If you can’t handle getting hit with a ball, do not play sports with balls.

Your child just stood there and allowed a ball to hit her multiple times? Is there a reason she did not move out the way when she saw a ball coming straight at her leg?

Even highly trained MLB pitchers who get paid millions of dollars for their skill hit batters with balls. You think an elementary level softball pitcher won't? 😂

Make sure she knows where the ice is. And teach her to drop the bat.
