It seems like they are still updating. Right now Vienna has no assigned zipcodes

It sucks for a kid to be expecting to get his spot back and now he has to shop around this late. Most open gyms are over.

They need to have them all up by Monday and it looks like some orgs didn't meet the deadline to submit.

More important will be whether fcybl makes any effort to actually enforce these restrictions. Last few years (started in Covid but continued through last year) they have not - which resulted in some teams overtly exploiting that.. Used to be you had to collect AND submit proof of residence (SIS, utility bill) with your roster. They need to get back to that to avoid super/mini AAU teams.

Now I am going to be invested in seeing whether GF coaches complain and get those zip codes back.

Oh yes, but the most calculating kind of type A Division 1 coach already has his two zip code exceptions lined up, and doesn't want to have to use exceptions on kids who were regular players last year. No idea about the great falls coaches or what their season plans were, but losing two zip codes would throw many D1 coaches' plans out the window.

Great Falls is kind of remote, so it makes sense that they would only have a few zip codes. No one is traveling all the way out there for rec games they could play down the street.

The whole league is based on the concept that kids are playing for their areas/towns to replace an official middle school league. That's why its based on your local rec players.

Very close to the formation of team days. How long does an appeal take?

What's very likely is those two zip codes had barely enough players to make the cut off in previous years, and this past year, dipped below enough to lose those two zip codes. Going from 22 rec kids to 19 rec kids could cut the zip code off, for instance, depending on how many kids overall play Great Falls rec basketball. That's just the way the system is set up.

If you live in those two zip codes, you could also try out for McLean (22102) or Reston (20191). Those are in-boundary.
