I've been an off and in runner and have trained for half marathons in that amount of time. Spend a couple weeks doing 2 mile runs and then the last couple weekends leading up to it do "long" runs of 4 and 5 miles. You'll be fine

You could also probably wing it just with the momentum of the crown, but your knees will feel awful after

If my DD asked me to do it, I would find it hard to pass up. And I'm in no shape to run down the block!

Do you want to do it? If yes, just train for it.
If you don't want to do it, tell her it will be very hard on your body. Walk it or most of it. Maybe I can walk most of it if you don't mine, DD.
