I had a childless uncle that used to go every year with his wife. Something always seemed off with him. Not wuite mentally disabled, but certainly very slow.

Between my husband and I, we have three master’s degrees. We make $1.2 million HHI. We love going to Disney with or without our daughter.

Why? What do you actual enjoy about it?

The rides are fun. There are some terrific restaurants, especially for a theme park. We have DVC, so we book 1 bedroom suites with full kitchens and W/D units. That makes it very comfortable.

We’re people who haven’t forgotten what it’s like to be kids. We can have fun going on rollercoasters and also appreciate a tour of the Musée D’Orsay. The world has a ton to offer and we enjoy soaking up all of it.

I will say that we went to Universal for 2 days over the summer and thought it was grimy and awful. Not at all worth it, IMO.

My parents are easily worth $10 million and, while they wouldn’t go to WDW on their own, it was the only theme park they’d take us as kids. They enjoy going with us occasionally now.

For that Monday I'd recommend against a park. Keep in mind that the Orlando airport is awful. You should absolutely plan to be there 3 hours early. It took us every bit of 2 hours to get through security and multiple people in line missed their flights.

This is why we have TSA pre and clear.

We went to Universal last weekend and after hearing horror stories about the Orlando airport I left tons of time. We were through security (with pre but not clear) in ten minutes. This was a Monday around 11:30 am.

Or just buy a lightening lane.

This is 100% not true.

Agree, so not true. They just announced a big $$$$$ project to bring Indiana Jones to Dino Land.

NP here. I've had long lines at MCO even with TSA pre-check. In fact, my husband got through the regular line and was at the gate before I got through security. I don't know that you need 3 hours but allowing more time than usual is a good idea.

Also, do Disney Springs on Monday. If you go when it opens, it's empty and nice to walk around. And there's enough to do to keep you occupied for a while. Walking around Celebration FL is also nice if you have a car.

That’s why I said TSA pre and Clear.
