At some point, the cost of living there will exceed the benefit of no state taxes, at least for people who actually buy a house there.

+1 Florida has a wonderful Governor who kept schools open (only closed for 2 months) and the economy flowing during the pandemic. I wish I lived there in 2020-2021 instead of putting up with the DC City Council members who prioritized their political endorsements over the well-being of the citizens.
Florida has a wonderful govenor? He's a psychopath.

They are idiots. At least my taxes pay for services. These clowns are paying the equivalent “tax” in the form of insurance premiums….and have nothing to show for it.
Except for a house and a state they want to live in. Isn’t that what you get?

No taxes ... unless you consider insurance premiums a de facto tax.
It's kind of like the single payer health care debate.... "It will raise my taxes!!!" protests the guy writing a huge health insurance premium check every month (or receiving less in pay because his employer pays for it).

What’s bad is that the rest of us have been subsidizing people to live in places that humans were not meant to live. We are now seeing the long term impact of such decisions.
