Live a little. Pumpkin pancakes with chocolate chips, so good.

Pumpkin and chocolate just do not go together. I have no idea who started doing this but stop.

But I’d allow butterscotch chips and pumpkin.

Definitely about 12. Two eyes, one berry nose, and a few more for the smiley mouth. Just like Curious George taught us.

Too many blueberries makes it harder for my pancakes to hold together.

Maybe I need another recipe or what.

Me too. I thought it was going to be the pancake equivalent of Warren G. Harding’s joke about waffles: “You eat the first fourteen waffles without syrup, but with lots of butter. Then you put syrup on the next nine, and the last half-dozen you eat simply swimming in syrup. Eaten that way, waffles never hurt anybody.”

Ask her how many spears of asparagus in a serving. The answer may end your marriage.

Given all the playdate threads recently in the child forums, I thought it could be about the rude kids who gobbled up 20 pancakes before the OP’s kid could get any.

This. Those wild blueberries from Maine are teeny tiny. The ones from the grocery store are colossal in comparison. Make sure you guys are talking about the same thing.

Easy, whoever is cooking the pancakes is right.

We prefer plain pancakes topped with fresh blueberry compote. No idea how many blueberries end up on each pancake, but the wonderful thing is that each person can choose their own ratio.
