She brings a stuff animal to school every day, and I hope that she outgrows soon. Teacher has not said anything. I think she is the only kid wearing those sparkles and tutu skirts almost every day.

So cute!

Don’t let her take the stickers. It turns into a behavioral issue in a class when a kid is choosing the “good” kids to pass out stickers to. She is just passing them out to her friends. It isn’t up to her or you to praise other kids. Tutus, sparkles, cat hair bands all fine, but don’t teach your kid to curry favor by giving out things to only a few of her classmates.

Interesting and good point on giving stickers to selective kids. That is deep, and I did not think of that at all.

If it is too weird, the other kids will let her know very quickly.

I don’t think it is a weird, but I do think it would be a distraction. I’d tell her no, save it for home and weekends

I work in an elementary school, and I’d say as long as it’s clothing your kid can manage on their own (some dress up things have tricky fasteners or might be hard to play in at recess) and isn’t something that would distract others (lights, bells, etc.) free expression is a great thing.

I don’t think a tutu is appropriate for school (and frankly impossible to clean) but I would have no problems with the pink or bright flowers. I told my daughter to keep it to the ballet studio. We did find sparkly bright colored skirts that she liked that were less protruding and could be washed.

My kid and her classmates did stuffed animals until 2nd grade. They also had a cat ear headband phase in K or 1st. One friend still wears tutu skirts and dresses from time to time. She absolutely rocks her style. It sounds like your kiddo does, too, OP. Love it!
