One in a twin and two kids in fulls. They'll be in Twin XL for most dorms (which is the equivalent to 1/2 of a king size bed) so that's sufficient for most people.

Full for my 15 year old DD and queen for 13 year old DS. He had a full too but he switched rooms with the guest room and we couldn’t move the beds around.

17 year old high schooler, just under 6 feet tall, has a full size bed.
19 year old college student, around 5'10", has a full size bed at our house but in his dorm room has a twin XL.

My 6'1" DD has a twin daybed. She has a small bedroom. I slept on a twin as well.

We live in a townhouse with small bedrooms. Anything larger would take the whole room.

My son had a twin bed until about the age of 16 when he moved to our basement bedroom that had a king size bed.

My daughter had a twin bed until 14 when we got her a queen size mattress.

College dorms have Twin XL beds, which are 5" longer than a regular twin size bed.

Queen - inherited from us when we upgraded to king. Has always been a restless sleeper and fell off the bed fairly regularly when he had a twin bed.

If you are buying a new bed - Queen.

If the kid can somehow still fit in a twin that hasn’t somehow gotten saggy, okay fine.
