Went to an eye doctor today and she did mention lasers and what to watch out for re lens replacement. Could I be a robot and not know it?

Not if you were like the robots in Asimov's Bicentennial Man. The protagonist adapted his robot body to "age" so that he does not outlive his true love. Also, Juliana Tainer in Star Trek TNG was adapted to behave like human aging. Maybe you're one of those types of robots.
