I'm n ot a fan of the flashy, logo-heavy designer bags. I love Olivia Clergue bags- a true "atelier." She had a shop in Le Marais, but have closed. Not sure if other independent stores in France carry her bags.

Agree with PP, I would look at a smaller one of those too. Look at something in the 2k range in US so you have a good idea what you can get for 1200. That noted, it’s been several years since I was in Paris, but that was roughly the savings. Not sure what it is today.

Honestly $1200 won’t get you much.
I’d do something like the Polene numero neuf mini in camel or black and just use a basic tote (larger) for daily use at home.

Buy a summer tote, a day to day work horse, and a fun/bold bag. That is what I would do.
