She is forgetting a ton of things we have talked about and its starting to effect our relationship as in I'm getting very tried of things being forgotten or having to remind her over and over again. It also starting to feel like she doesn't care since she doesn't remember. I also don't feel too comfortable bringing this up because I don't use edibles and don't want to to seem like I'm coming at her for it. I don't want to just write her off but bringing this up seems very risky to me, any suggestions welcome here.
I sympathize.. I have a good friend who I know has been a daily pot user for decades. She doesn't have memory loss, but she started behaving a little strangely -- very paranoid, cuts people out of her life easily, very reactive. I don't know if it's related. But we have drifted apart.
I don't know if there is any good way to bring this up; your friend is probably not going to change her behavior or usage.

I’m sure you have no idea.

Individual impairment as a consequence of drug use varies widely by user.
My friend's sister, in her late 50s, has had significant memory loss and emotional loss of control for many years now, and she has used edibles for several decades. My friend thinks the two are related.
And then you have users of various drugs who emerge unscathed.
It's best not to test this yourself.

I have a friend like this and it’s annoying - she never remembers what we talk about, is frequently spaced out, and can’t hold really hold a conversation as she’s not really able to pay attention. I recently saw her wander away from another friend mid-sentence! I am close enough that I’m going to share my concerns with her - she may not realize it’s as bad as it is, maybe thinks it’s just taking the edge off. But anyway just offering understanding- same boat here.
