Willing to bet it was the construction that they noticed and caused them to take a closer look. Also, could be a neighbor complained.
It also probably wasn't MPD giving the parking ticket, likely was the city's parking enforcement crew which is a separate thing.

I'm the OP. Seriously? "Blatantly broke the law"? My contractor moves our single trash can in order to have more space to work in our small front yard in Georgetown. Trash was picked up Friday morning and I moved the trashcan back onto our property mid day Friday. Our contractor moved the trashcan in order to have more space to work and they forgot to put the trashcan back on our property Friday night. The "inspector" gave us a citation at 7:15 Saturday morning. This is a blatant violation in your eyes?

Anonymous wrote:Honestly, I think most law abiding, tax paying DC residents have had enough of our elected officials. It’s completely dystopian. You could have walked into the Apple Store in Georgetown and walked out with an armful of iPads and nobody would have lifted a finger. But if your trash can is askew they pull your card. I can’t take it anymore.

By the other thread, if you're following the crime stat issues, DC MPD is arresting tons of criminals, but it's our FEDERAL DOJ who is releasing them after capture, repeatedly, so actually yes, statehood might help us be able to be more responsive.
The DOJ is pretty busy keeping you safe from the Proud Boys. Maybe cut them a bit of slack. These 1/6 trials are going to make the City safer, just you watch.
