I reported it to our coach but he didn’t seem surprised so I doubt he reported it. Doesn’t matter if no zip codes were checked on any team.

Makes the team stronger come spring. And if the FCYBL coaches or assistants are parents from said team, plan on a few more kids from out-of-zip.

We did reach out to a few coaches of friends' teams and discovered that since we live in Arlington, our son can't try out for the Fairfax County teams. And we read the rules on the FCYBL site. Coaches told us many of the Arlington teams are very competitive and tend to carry their players from last year, so it may be hard to get noticed and break in if a lot of boys show up to the tryouts.
If anyone has any current useful info on Arlington Travel, we're all ears.

No one wants to cut a returning player and there are strict limits on roster size and out of zip code players (2). You can try out for any team you want, but if you’re out of zip code you’ll need to make sure they actually have room for an out of zip player

Not all clubs even use zip code exceptions. Our rule is that they only go to kids who played in the house rec league or returning players who moved.
