There just isn’t enough foot traffic. I live nearby and I almost never pass by that area. Parking isn’t easy, and it’s tucked away, and there isn’t much going on, unless people are there for medical appointments nearby.

Really unfortunate, but the marketing and advertising of the space was terrible. Also, everything was so expensive. There really needed to be a good range of pricing there. Ultimately, it was an unappealing place to eat. I'm not surprised that it folded.

I wonder if the new apartment dwellers this summer at the old Mazza Gallerie site will be a boon to the local restaurants and merchants.

Well, my favorite spot — Supreme Barbecue— departed several weeks ago. The last time I went, the place was pretty empty. They STILL don’t seem to have done anything at all to reach out to the huge cohort of potential customers a few blocks away in Friendship Heights Village. I don’t know what the leases are like, but you really should plan to go there soon instead of waiting to hear about other peoples experiences. Check out the Yelp reviews or whatever.

Tried this tonight, we shared different things from Dosa DC, Yasmin, Doki Doki and the Cuban place. All of it was incredibly mediocre. It's small, not enough seating, nasty lighting, generally very disappointing.

Yes, the food vendors do takeout— even Urbano. The two orders that I’ve had from Supreme Barbeque were nicely packed, with everything in individual containers.

Agree! I liked Supreme Barbeque so much that I started a separate thread just to sing it’s praises. I went for the ribs — which were delicious, and I’ve already gone back for more smoked chicken.

Had dinner there this week!

The good: Enjoyed my Cubano sandwich and empanada; service was good - didn't just bring your food but checked in on you, took away trays, got you napkins if you asked, etc. (20% is added to your bill automatically).

The bad: Limited seating and it feels like you're in a mall food court. Noisy.

The details: You can scan the QR code at your table. One nice thing is that you can order from multiple eateries on one tab. They bring the food to you. You can also order at each location.

It’s not next door. Same neighborhood though, but okay.
