If I’m remembering my training correctly, spending too much time on Lexia per session can make it ineffective, because kids will pick up on patterns in the game rather than learning the material as intended.

My kid has the need and interest, he wants to do more. He only had little time at school to do it. When he comes home he wants to continue doing it. From parent’s perspective, it’s a well-developed and free language learning resource.

I am also just curious, why the expectations are different among FCPS.

Near as I can tell, there is no standardized way of doing pretty much anything within FCPS. There is pretty substantial variability among schools, and even within a school with different teachers.

No, not at home.

Lexia is assigned but kids don’t get the units done in school and finish over weekend. Lots and lots of home Lexia

We not only allow it at our school, we encourage it.
