Holmes Run Acres is the best place for a meet if you have small children you have to wrangle while also attempting to watch a meet.

If your kid is a swimmer, having a fast pool is all that matters in answering this question.

Ugh. We hate Holmes Run and actually don’t count times from that meet. It is a waste and I wish we didn’t go there. Yard pool, limited seating, hard to see boards, etc.

Tuckahoe seating area for the visiting team is awful. You cannot see the deep end or the timing boards. Hard pass for parents (although kids do get a lot of best time.

High Point is nice.

+1. I rank all pools on bathrooms first, lane count second, everything else a distant third.

Agreed on the bathrooms! Although I will say that Mt Vernon Park (also in Div 5 this summer) had a great facility for Divisionals with tons of room and a 50m pool for warm ups/cool downs. Nice team and their whole setup was great - except for the bathrooms, which were summer camp level gross.

By this criteria the best pool is Arlington Forest. The best bathrooms in the league and an eight lane pool.

Overlee is miserable. Zero shade and a slow pool…

Tuckahoe and Chesterbrook are great!

Highlands shady but a slow pool

DR miserable viewing

Mountain House: gorgeous facility, nice people, great hosts: coffee is free for parents, leftover donuts free for swimmers after meet ends.

Great Falls: nice facility, patio furniture with cushions under umbrellas on pool deck available for grandparents to sit in and watch at meets

Except for sportsmanship.

+1. Our team had to cover a volunteer position at a A meet because none of their parents would. All just sitting in that gorgeous seating area with their feet up, pretending not to hear the announcer begging for a marshal so the meet could start.

At Overlee, they call this a "Saturday".

Why? And in what context? Fast pools? Space? Layout? Location? Food? Hospitality?

It’s often considered that Tuckahoe is the fastest pool, in part because the high lip. It’s not a coincidence that Div 1 has divisionals there.
