It sounds like she objected to being referred to as a girl, not being called your girlfriend. Those are separate complaints. If it’s girl she don’t like, use woman. If it’s girlfriend, ask how she wants to define your relationship.

Come on. He's introducing her to people as a "girl." Presumably she's an adult and therefore a "woman." What he's doing is pretty demeaning, and the fact that he doesn't see that should concern her.
