I live in Appalachia and can attest the name Jameson is popular, along with Wyatt, Braden, Brody, Chantz, etc.

I think for people who think it’s trashy or sounds like a whisky… it says a lot about them.
There are comments here that are LOL. the Father’s last name needs to be James?!. Almost half of the top names it in “son”.
Who cares that two or three people think that “it makes you sound waspy like you have a family name to pass down when you do not” ?
Name your kid what you want. And that becomes your kids name that’s how we and when people here the name they’ll think of your kid not an alcoholic beverage.
