I liked it a lot. I feel like there were 3 distinct components-- the Jewish stuff, the teen drama and the parties.

I LOVED Rabbi Rebecca and Cantor Jerry. They remind me very much of people who I know in those positions. Overall, it was very authentic in the prayers, talk of Mitzvah projects and Jewish one-liners (that's the way the hamantachen crumbles...). Some of it was a stretch (is that really how Sunday School is these days?), but it was probably for cinematic effect.

The teen drama was super hard to watch because some of it was SO mean. It was also interesting to see tweens in their element with their phones. My kids are still too young for phones, so it was enlightening.

The parties were over the top. I've been to some like that, but overall, I don't think that sort of party is the norm everywhere. Maybe in NY/NJ? Definitely not in DC. DJ Shmuely was trash. I don't know why he was popular in that circle.

But it was also very progressive in talking about periods, having lots of Jews of color and transgender/LGBTQ stuff.

Interested to hear perspectives from both Jewish and non-Jewish viewers.

Not Jewish but loved it. Really well done. Only part I disliked was the main character pouting with her lips pursed (like she either got lip fillers or was trying to fake it). Otherwise great job by her and the whole cast.

Yes, sometimes I thought I was hearing my 15 DD right down to the intonation.

I am in the minority, but I couldn't get through it. I think I stopped with 40m left. Maybe I'll give it another chance and try to finish it up.

There are Jewish people in the Midwest. My cousin married a jewish guy from Ohio. She transplanted him to NY of course. So now there are 25% fewer Jewish people there.

She was on SNL for a year or so. For the people asking about Jews in Ohio there are many in Cleveland and Comfy ( probably Columbus and Dayton too).
