Actually, they take probably 90% of the class ED and the ED acceptance rate is likely over 50%. They offfer two rounds of ED plus EA. They take almost no one through RD, which is why their overall acceptance rate is low.
I know this doesn’t match your narrative, but you are completely wrong about 90% being admitted through ED. Maybe research things a bit more before you spew made up facts. A large percent of the class is admitted through non-binding EA. In fact, the percentage of the class admitted in each round keeps shifting each year especially with the new-ish admissions director.

I love New Orleans. But it's particularly rough these days. I'd be wary of sending an 18 year old there. Particularly any kid without city smarts or someone inclined to "party." New Orleans will chew them up. Tulane isn't good enough to be worth those risks.

They care a lot about demonstrated interest so if you like it there make sure to visit, go on website etc.

How far is the campus from the sketchy parts of the city?
How are the winters there?
Sketchy parts are close but lots of security on campus and that is pretty secure….
And good for more sheltered kids to learn about the real world
