Unless you're talking about really mediocre students, in which case it kind of doesn't matter, avoid these uncompetitive schools.
You are hilarious. The admission rate is 9.6%. If you think that is mediocre then OMG your poor kid. I feel so bad for the pressure they are under.
But maybe you're a troll. Sorry, hard to tell.
Actually, they take probably 90% of the class ED and the ED acceptance rate is likely over 50%. They offfer two rounds of ED plus EA. They take almost no one through RD, which is why their overall acceptance rate is low.

There is no city like New Orleans. Even the food on campus is amazing -- I remember wandering into the student center my first week for some food and the soup of the day was a homemade shrimp bisque. The school attracts a lot of people who have the grades/scores/experience to go Ivy but are attracted to New Orleans. Like a PP said, there is a happy vibe on campus. I loved my experience there and would highly recommend that people consider Tulane Law. YMMV a bit with undergrad, but again -- it's a happy place.
How far is the campus from the sketchy parts of the city?
How are the winters there?
