From the first link:

That seems to say pretty clearly that Judaism came after the polytheism, not that Judaism was polytheistic.

Jews, like Christians, adopted traditions from older traditions. Calling the Israelites who first practiced those traditions "Jewish" makes about as much sense as calling ancient Roman traditions "Christians" because the people who followed them were the ancestors of Christians, and because some ancient Roman traditions such as decorating with evergreens for winter holidays were later adopted by Christians.

Good evidence that the ancestors of the Jews were polytheistic? Or good evidence that there were polytheists who identified themselves as Jewish? I am skeptical about the latter.

For one, there's idolatry in the minutes before the Jews received the Ten Commandments.

I don’t believe that all people “blindly” follow religions; in many cases they have no (societal or cultural) choice, and in many other cases plenty of thought is behind the belief. It’s pretty small minded to say that people must blindly follow religions other than your own.

God is God — and therefore not limited by the boundaries of any particular religion. Jesus was Jewish. All religions have been made up by people. Following them may — or may not — be done “blindly”.
