DS and DH both got these recently and love them (they were $50 off but it looks like the price has gone back up). They sound really good and you can still hear your surroundings—DH ordered them after a relative who runs a lot and also uses them for his phone at work recommended them.

Over the ear earbuds like others recommended. I have these and I like them a lot. They stay in my ears when I exercise, when true earbuds do not.
