Is OP saying the babysitter is also responsible for the dogs? A little more should be charged.

$15 for teens, 20$ for adults. Make sure it is cash.

All the girls at high school where i teach in MoCo charge 15$.

Right, to sit and watch tv on the couch. If she's not "teaching" my kids why would her experience in teaching matter? I might as well hire someone with plumbing experience or fry cook experience--they're all just going to be sitting on my couch watching tv.

If the work is the same, why would you pay an adult more?

Just curious, I'm wondering why the adult gets paid more for the same work. Do you ask adults to do more?

My 15 year old gets $15-20 in Loudoun.

My teenage DD in McLean earns $20/hr, all her families have more than 1 child and some are pretty young. She does however clean up, do dishes, offers to fold laundry after the kids go down, doesn’t just sit on the couch if there are things her fams ask for help with.

My Bethesda daughter makes $20/hour to babysit one 4 year old girl

My teen earns $15/hour for families who already have the kids in bed when my kid arrives, which is perfectly fair for a night of doing homework and surfing the web. Families who need "putting to bed" services for their kids tend to pay $20+ per hour.

You should pay more than $15

My sons babysitter charges $15 for one kid and increases by $5 per additional kid.

My kid is in college now. When he was little, high school sitters were $15 an hour.
