I go to Aldi for their nuts, eggs, produce. They also have very good deals on lots of other items, I’m just not eating meat much anymore or even much dairy just Parmesan cheese and I do buy Aldi’s sometimes. ALDI has a great cheese section too bad my doctor says my love affair with cheese must end.

My son loves cinnamon rolls. Don’t buy the ones in the bread aisle (inedible), but the Pillsbury ones in the refrigerated section are cheaper than at the grocery store.

Especially now since Girl Scout cookies are now going to be $6/box!!!!

I know it's a donation, but still .... $6 is getting a little steep since the boxes are smaller now too.

Generally--milk, eggs, butter, maybe yogurt, apple juice, cereal, bread, nuts, chips/snacks, hummus, cheese, coffee, wine, frozen vegetables and fruit, paper goods sometimes, organic spinach, salad mix, other fruit and vegetables sometimes, depending on supply. Chocolate always--I don't really buy anywhere else. German stuff occasionally.

I don't love their meat or deli but I'm picky.

Compared to Aldi's, Lidl is a bit bigger, higher end, some more variety and options, and a bit more expensive as well, still better prices and smaller than Giant, etc.

I just bought some mini bratwursts on sale for $1.25 ish and they are quite yummy!

Their sausages and cabbage are always a great deal. Their deli meats also, but you have to buy the ones packaged like from a deli. Avocados are also always cheaper than in a regular grocery store.

PP, drip coffee is also much cheaper. $3.99 for Aldi brand dark roast and it’s actually good coffee IMHO.

We buy 85% of our groceries at Aldi. The big savings are staples- milk, eggs, butter, pasta, pasta sauce, meat, pretzels, hummus, fruit…etc. we don’t buy seafood or steak at Aldi, but their chicken, pork and ground beef are fine.

I just did a trip to Aldi’s yesterday. Instant coffee, English muffins and fruit are priced a lot lower than competitors. But, my cats turned their noses at the cat food from there, requiring DH to buy their regular brand, which cancelled all my savings. Oh well!
