No, you cannot sadly.Anonymous wrote:Can a Non AAP student get into AA classes in middle school if we make a special request to the teachers?
I'll add on to this having one kid in "AAP" and one not. In Middle school there was not much difference between HN and AAP. Everything was the same except for the level of math Math-but we were in a Center MS. Fast forward to HS, both my kids are in Honors classes and are both taking AP(College board) classes. My previous "non AAP" student is doing just as well in these higher level courses.Anonymous wrote:It doesn't matter.
My Gen Ed through ES DD took Honor classes that had a bunch of AAP kids and DD did better than them .
It's rather arbitrary at this point.

No. The only way to be placed in the AAP Sections is to have been committee selected for AAP.If you have a child in 6th grade and you want them in AAP sections in MS you will need to apply for LIV this year.
Can you apply for 8th grade AAP?

Any reviews of Honors at Robinson?

Yes - everyone goes there for honors instead of the AAP center so they know the kids there for HS.

Anonymous wrote:At Frost which is the center MS, there wasn’t AA classes only honors. I was surprised but it was fine. I had no idea that other schools maintained an AA track outside of Honors in MS.
