Instant breakfast contains extra ingredients that aren't nutritional and they are based on protein powder which predate them

I think you first need to prioritize they get up with enough time to get something nutritious. Waking up with time to eat breakfast have greater benefits than that extra 10 min sleep.

My middle schoolers like smashed avacado on toast with a fried egg, steel cut oatmeal with various mix in, sometimes dinner leftovers, cheese omelettes, Eng muffin breakfast sandwiches or breakfast burritos. To maximize their sleep, I prepare their breakfast so it is ready when they come down for school. They sit and eat, I join them and have coffee and it is a a nice calm town before they head out to school.

Mine didn’t but it was perfect because lunch was around 10:30 (breakfast) and then he ate again at 2:30 when he got home, which was basically his lunch.

My kid eats leftovers from dinner for breakfast.

My kid gets himself up early to make ramen occasionally. He loves it.

Other days, I’ll have milky tea and toast ready for him. Some days, eggs and toast with tea. Occasionally he’ll grab cold pizza if available. But it’s the rare day he eats more than a 1/4-1/2 of what’s on the plate. Unless it’s ramen, of course.

He’s just never been a breakfast person, even back in toddlerhood. But I still help have something ready so he can eat on days his body actually demands it. DH eats whatever is left, so it’s not wasteful.

+1

My kid prefers sleep over breakfast time especially since he's not even hungry that early.

She has a bunch of non perishables snacks (granola bars, trail mix, pretzels) stashed in her backpack in case she does get hungry once at school and before lunch.

+2
One kid refuses breakfast, they're not hungry until lunch and dinner. The other always wants cereal no matter what other delicious options are available. Somehow they change their tune on weekends and everyone wants pancakes.

I also have the Hamilton breakfast sandwich maker and I wrap sandwiches for kids to eat on the way

In the winter I do steel oats and apples/cinnamon sometimes

Smoothies too but I more do them after school and before practices.

Thank you for the sandwich maker idea- going to check it out 👍

The Kodiak Cakes microwaveable pancake cup things. They love them, they’re quick, and they get some protein.

Nothing. It’s too early and they have lunch at 10:50.

Mine leaves the house at 6:45 and got up every single day of 7th grade to make himself eggs, toast or bagel, and sometimes microwave breakfast sausage. He just loves a big breakfast. Funny thing is that he doesn't eat that much at lunch or dinner.

Eggs and toast, or frozen waffles and sausage.

Sometimes I prebake and freeze some bacon and egg muffins so they can be quickly heated up and eaten on the way to school if we are running late.

DD usually makes herself

Smoothie
Yogurt bowl/Açaí bowl
Overnight oats
Avocado toast
Bagel/cream cheese
A bar of some sort

She is often not hungry in the morning but knows that she won’t last until lunch, so manages to eat something.
