Our school is uniform aside from a few special days so wouldn’t be an issue.
Personally, I wouldn’t send my kid to school in expensive clothing as I expect them to potentially get dirty but what another parent does isn’t my problem.
As long as the kid is taught not to bully kids who don’t wear expensive or designer clothes.

I’d think they recently spent time in Hong Kong/Lower Manhattan/somewhere else with a thriving knockoff culture. And that they were at least smart enough not to buy the ones that say “Channel.”
