I spent a lot of time in San Antonio when I was younger, and I still really like it. It's a vibrant, small city with its own vibe. I think you can do worse than living in Alamo Heights and sending your kid to Camp Longhorn.
7th largest in the US! But Alamo Heights is lovely, though I prefer Terrell Hills.
Of course there's the weather, what with climate change. But of the choices I'd prefer San Antonio, easily.
LOL - true, it's not that small anymore! I still think it has the same feel though and not as much sprawl as Houston. The weather is a huge drawback.
