I tried the combo once out of 100% sheer curiosity. It wasn’t bad. The pizza was homemade thin crust loaded with vegetables and an herby sauce. The corn added a nice balance of sweetness and crunch. I didn’t butter the corn (I never do). Just ate it plain and cooked.

Corn on cob is never a good idea. Terrible for teeth.

If you make a grilled corn salad, yes.

In some countries corn is a common topping on pizza. Like Korea and UK.

This is exactly right.

Um, no. Weird to even ask.

No, but I consider pizza a stand-alone meal. If I wanted a side I’d make a salad, but I like lots of veggies on my pizza so I don’t consider it necessary.

We did this recently as we had amazing farmers market corn left in the fridge the day before a vacation but not much other food left. It was fine!

I wouldn't do it for a sit down formal dinner party.

I'm in this camp. But it is a bit of a strange side for pizza.

Pizza and salad it's pretty simple.

Where’s green bean lady?

I would serve fresh raw veggies with dip or a fruit bowl for dessert. Corn would be an odd side to serve guests, but if it’s what works for your family, go for it.

No. And pizza doesn’t need a side.

I really think it depends on the context. I agree with eating as much summer corn as possible. So if I have delicious corn and my own kids are clamoring for pizza or I don’t want to cook and all I have is a frozen pizza? Yeah sure.

If I had delicious corn and I was planning guests then I would plan another entree.

At this time of year, corn on the cob goes with everything in our house!
