Oakton is more like Great Falls and a step up from Vienna, so no.

But the houses are smaller so the typical house is less expensive than in either McLean or Great Falls.

Excuse me. We are online and this is how online is. Our society is obsessed with “high end” and if it’s anonymous it’s even more important! SMH

Back to OP, yes if price is an indicator then yes Vienna is up there. In NOVA the debate is Vienna vs McLean so they are the top two destinations, which is better? We will never know on this board!

The areas in NoVa closer in price to McLean are in Great Falls and North Arlington, not Vienna.

Tell me how much houses cost (tear downs, fixer uppers, older mcMansions, new mcMansions) and these ranges should be telling.

Pimmit Hills and Shrevewood are in Falls Church, not Vienna or Dunn Loring. The area around Wolf Trap is in Vienna, but feeds to Marshall and Langley, not McLean. And the Town of Vienna is anything but “uniform,” as you could find houses from the 1950s, 1970s, and 2022 on the same block.
