We stayed there last summer. Beautiful views and an indoor and outdoor pool. Courtyard by Marriott and some good eating options within walking distance.

We stop in Dubois, PA -- the town has a nice playground for the little ones and the Fairfield Inn has a good breakfast.

We just stopped at Seven Springs on the way to Niagara. It adds an hour of driving and is only a third of the way there, but it's a great resort for kids and reasonably priced in the non-ski season. Stay 2 nights if you've got the time.

Thank you SO much for all your replies. We'll stop at Corning. I have heard about glass museum from several people, but could recall the name. We will definitely check it out!

I second this. We were in Toronto and the traffic was so bad, way worse than here
