When my kids were that age they had a bunch of classes -- once a week music class, library storytime, garden class, art class. This is DC, look around wherever you are and you may find similar. We also spent a LOT of time at the playground, socializing with other kids and moving their body.

We did a ton of playground time too. Some we drive to, some walked/stroller. There are a ton in this area.
Splash pads are fun or just set up a sprinkler in your yard/baby pool.
The nature ctr too. Usually there's a small pond, easy nature trail, etc and you can kill the entire morning and more.
There are kids' weekly music shows in the summer ( at least in our area).
How does the nanny not have a list of toddler-centric ideas ready to go?

If it’s too hot to walk/be at the playground, they drive to the library. Or they go to the pool or a splash park. Nanny has full control over the day, it’s not like I’m saying to her “when it’s 95 degrees this afternoon, please walk with DS to the playground”

We had nannies until kids were 3 and went to full day preschool. 8-5 every day. Some play at home and then walks around 9-11:30. Then lunch at home and nap. Then outside in backyard nice and floorplay, toys and crafts if not nice outside. Nanny did not drive my kids unless it was summer and she took them to the pool with a packed lunch and naps for the little one at home around 1:30. We didnt do classes or library either. Both were ready for preschool at 3 and blended in just fine.

Even the really careful people are pretty much over Covid. I had my first in early 2021, when healthcare workers were getting vaxxed and other people weren’t. We were very cautious until DS1 was old enough to get vaccinated, which was when he was over a year old. So he didn’t really go to the library, we only did outdoor classes, etc.
But now that he’s over 2, fully vaccinated, and we’ve all had Covid, we don’t really take any precautions anymore. He really needs to be around other kids. We wash our hands a lot and I wear a mask on public transportation, but that’s about it.

10am - they leave for the park, splash pad or library. Eat a pouch on the way.
12pm - they return
12:30 - lunch
1:30 - nap routines begin
2pm - both kids down for naps
3:30-4:15pm - kids wake up
4:30pm - snack
5pm - nanny leaves
My kids are 3.5 and almost two. With slight adjustments, this has been consistent since the younger moved to one nap. Before that, she was taking morning nap in the stroller out and about, so almost a year.
10am - they leave for the park, splash pad or library. Eat a pouch on the way.
12pm - they return
12:30 - lunch

Yeah, pretty much. The risk of covid for a 12 month old v. the benefits of socialization … I have no problem taking my little ones to the mall, etc.
