Nothing in Parent Vue. Teacher added today on Class Dojo.

Dont know why parents care so much with so much turnover right now at the ES level. You wont even know the teacher. Your kid might care to see if they are in class with their friends, but relax.

One kid I'm aware of got his teacher assignment at our school, but my kid hasn't. Not sure why they'd let some out but not others. Seems like these decisions should be locked in by Monday of pre-service week, but I'm just a parent....so not sure why they wait till the very last minute.

My school typically tells us at the open house on Friday. Last year we got a text from the teacher on Thur. evening prior to the open house.

I just tried parentvue and Canvas. Nothing for my ES

The Canvas trick worked for us yesterday for both ES and MS. Neither was on ParentVue directly.

Thank you! Very helpful. Worked for ES.

Preservice starts on Monday, OP - most staff aren’t even in the building yet. Class assignments can change up to the last minute as more kids are enrolled, so it’s not that they aren’t telling you but that assignments aren’t final yet.

You can choose to skip reading these posts if they bother you so much.

DP but i did this last year (k) and it was SO helpful to have throughout the year. From party invites to playdates to asking kid about their day. Otherwise you'll never know who else is in your kid's class. I'm planning to do it again this year.

NP. It's helpful to do this for your own kid's class, yes. But it seems like overkill for every kid's class.

Teachers aren’t even back yet. Parents certainly don’t need this information before the teachers. And the lists will change right up until postcards are due to the office for mailing.
OP if you don’t know when your child’s school has Open House, just call and ask. They are generally on the Thursday or Friday before the first day of class.
