He’s hot in Peaky Blinders because the character was cocky and cool.

IRL he isn’t very masculine and comes across as prissy and arrogant.

NP. Was the series "The Way We Live Now"? That's a brilliant, prescient period piece -- both the TV adaptation and the Anthony Trollope novel from which it's adapted. That was the first place I ever saw Cillian Murphy. My DD thought he was gorgeous in it and still thinks he's a dish! (I'm agnostic as he's not my type re: looks but I think he's a terrific actor.)

Anyone who loves a good British period piece, especially one that's intelligent about human nature, greed and ambition, should see (or better yet, read) "The Way We Live Now."
