So, yes, they are underrepresented at these meetings.
Not sure which ANC you are in but that’s the opposite of ours. Meetings are at 7pm and many people with children attend (and many commissioners/committee members have kids too).

I have kids and sometimes I forget how completely clueless people who don't have kids are about what it's like having children, and then I read comments like this, and remember: Oh yeah, they know literally nothing.
I'm the PP you're responding to, I have children, and it is precisely because I have children, and have attended a lot of meetings while having children, that I know it's not impossible for people with children to attend meetings.

Our ANC schedules meetings during the dinner hour. Typically, I'm rushing from work, to/from kids activities and then trying to get dinner ready then. Such times may work for incels with time on their hands but not for busy parents.
Are you a single parent? If not, what is the other parent doing while you are doing this, and why can't the other parent attend the meeting? Also, how old are your children, and if they're not small children, why are you doing things for them that they could do for themselves, every now and then, while you (or their other parent) are at a meeting?

ANCs should realize that they are a glorified 311 service. They are there to tell us why the garbage wasn't collected or how to get rid of a mattress someone left in an alley. That's it. No one elected them to do anything more than stupid grunt work.
